What i have found out from analysising Film Website pages.

From carrying out this process, i have managed to find a few simularities between the film websites that will be helpful to me when i produce mine.
the simularities included:

• the images on the website setting the scene and giving a feel for the film
• the ability to view the trailor to influence the audience to watch the film.
• red and white fonts tend to used to stand out on the dark backgorunds.
• there is an "about" tab where it describes the film to influence the audience to watch the flm
• the ability to download either music, pictures, screen savers etc to publicise and sell the film to the audience
• you can buy the film on the website, this is benificial as it is free advertising that can bring in money.

Analysising the wesites of the fims has been very usesful, and when i go to make my website, these simularities between the webpages will help me produce a convincing website for my film trailer.

what i found out from analyzing film posters.

I have been able to identify some similarities between the film posters. this includes:

• Dark backgrounds-mainly black. for fear and suspence
• Font is in white or red to stand out on the dark backgrounds to stand out
• main image is large to grab attention and gives a feel of the film
• credits and age rating is shown to give the audience information
• Who's staring in the film is show to attract an audience.

By identifying what is common in film posters, will help me when i produce mine, and help me making it a convincing product.

Film posters are used to attract an audience to a film, i have analysed the techniques used by the producer of this film poster. By identifying the techniques used i can use them when i create my film poster.

We decided on the plot as a group all coming up with different ideas, then we put them together to come up with an overall plot for our film trailer. To reach this decision we also looked at existing plots like the blair witch project to come up with an idea.

My group and i investigated into the conventions of Horror films. By doing this we will know what to include in our trailer so it will be helpful when producing.

Today my group and i decided on what our idea for our main project is going to be for our media coursework.

We will be making a horror film trailer aimed at the age group 15+.

We have been looking at a variety of horror film trailers to give us some ideas on a plot and the setting. We have decided to set our film in the woods at night with an all teenager cast.

Lionsgate is the institution we are working for as they have made a variety of different horror films including, the saw films, open water, Fear of clowns, hostel, teeth, Etc.
